Saved from the crusher

A local auto parts chain by me went out of business so I spoke to the owner of the company about what his plans were for all the old delivery vehicles. He told me they were all going to the junk yard because the new owners didn't want them. I asked him if I can take a look at if he had anything I can pick up cheap. So I drove out to the yard where he had the cars and after going through about 20 pieces of crap something in the back of the yard caught my eye. It was a clean nice and straight 2002 Ford Ranger ext. cab 2wd. I got the key turned it and it started up and ran excellent. So I went to the owner and asked him how much he wanted for it. He said, If you wanna give it new lease on life before it's goes to the junkyard on Friday, you can have it for a penny! That's right, one penny!
Starting in a couple of weeks I am gonna be turning this once abused parts delivery truck to a sweet daily driver sport truck and I will take pics f the whole transformation for all of you to see. I'll post some pics this week.

This winter I am gonna do all the exterior mods and come next fall the drivetrain swap will begin.
