Agreed, that storm was immense. We were eating at JB's diner in Freehold when 2 bolts of lightning struck very, very close. The thunder shook the whole building and they lost power for a few minutes.

that storm was EPIC. Brick looks like what happened near us in TR about 2-3 years ago.
There was 1 storm where the entire east dover area got spanked; trees down all over, on cars, boats, houses; it was nuts! That's basically what happened to brick this time. Friends of mine live near Forge Pond where it got hit the hardest. They didn't get power back until Sunday afternoon.

Ya I have to say it almost looked as if a tornado passed by. Between the trees and poles down I even saw 2 houses with the roofs blown away

It was serious out in PA too. We lost power more than once. I was inside, so I wasn't too concerned, but the cats were FREAKING out. I was keeping an eye on the weather alerts on my phone because I wouldn't have been surprised if we'd gotten a tornado warning.

The a/c wouldn't work for a while after that. I think lightning struck somewhere close by - had to shut it down and restart it and it still took about 15 minutes to start working properly.

Well I had a 40 lb spare tire for a gmc in my trunk so that helped ha. But I have to say in general my car is surprisingly great in the rain. I rarely slip
