Default Street Motorsports, High Performance Mustangs

Hello Everyone. A little about us. We are a small race shop located in Cranford NJ. Our primary purpose is to support the racing efforts of the #70 Mustang which we race in Nasa American Iron.

We specialize in only mustangs and can do pretty much anything but bodywork and paint. Drag race, autoX, road race or hot street we cover it all. Subframe connectors welded in, suspension shocks and springs, cc plates, alignments, bumpsteer kits setup the right way, ride height adjustments, corner weighing, rear gear installs or full rebuilds, T5 rebuilds and upgrades, motor mods or builds from an old school pushrod 302 to the new modern DOHC stuff, bolt ons, etc.

Need some help? Let us know, being a small shop we only help one mustanger at a time, with that you get one on one attention and quality work at very inexpensive rates, at present our labor rate is $50hr and with the Njstanger 20% discount good until the end of 2011 that comes down to $40hr. Tech is always free. Send us and email or PM.

For more info see our website below. Thanks, AL.

Al how are you? This is John from Elizabeth with the reef blue/titanium '93 GT that you installed Eibach springs on.
We also spoke about a 5 lug 31 spline swap and I'm ready to do that.
Was wondering what you thought about this kit.

Any other suggestions are welcome.
John,

summit has it much cheaper, yeh its 5 lug, yeh you get decent rear discs but your still stuck with oe not so good front brakes: http://www.summitracing.com/search/P...?Ns=Rank%7cAsc

ford racing use to sell a 'cobra' conversion kit where you would get 5 lug and 94 up cobra brakes all around, I'd look for that or similar.

AL.

Tommy, gear swaps run around $200 in labor, axles dont cost anymore unless you need abs rings installed which I would buy new ones vs trying to get the old off. You can get the parts if you like, fyi I only install ford gears so if you buy, buy ford motorsports. Since its a '12 you wont need bearings or seals etc unless there is an issue. I already have OE ford shims so no need to get those. You really need axles? Unless you got slicks the Oe stuff is more than good. AL.

I have a vibration and a hum from the rear. I tried dealing with ford but they wouldn't fix it. Their excuse was with the seats up you dont hear it. Ill just have it taken care of myself now, instead of dealing with these asswipes. $200 sounds great. And yes I'm going to be running full slick next season. I spin out of the whole now with 331's and et streets. Im going to get everything needed ...again curses I just sold my 410s I had sitting here with the full rebuild kit becuase, I was supposed to trade someone rears with 410s already installed and he flaked on me the day I shipped mine. I am figuring the week before xmas for the install. Just in case I can save enough for a better diff.

Al,
Ordering a clutch kit with flywheel all new bearings, bolts, retainer, and rear main seal. It's the ram hdx master kit from late model resto. What would I be lookin at for install?

Charley

Tommy, I would look into your rear vibration/noise before you tear into it, or at least let me test drive it to see what it is, hate for you to dump all that money into a rear and still have a vibe or noise. can you describe it?

Charlie, replacing a clutch kit and flywheel on a older fox assuming no issues runs around $250 or so for labor. Bearings? I assuming you mean throwout bearing. Retainer? did you plan to replace the trans front bearing retainer with a steel pc? That'll take some extra time to shim and install correctly.
