Default WTBuy/borrow shifter arm for 05+ mustang

Hey, I installed my Roush shifter and I'm not a fan. The throws are crazy short and very precise but it's way too hard to shift IMO. Right now i have the adapter to use the factory knob that's very short, does anyone have a longer shift arm/handle I can buy or borrow to see if it helps?

something to this extent...

That shifter is realllllllly short isnt it? That was my first short throw the one you got. i had a roush cylinder know on it and that helped a bit having the extra weight

It's not too much shorter (height-wise) than stock, but it's a crazy short throw. It's great if that's what you're into, but I prefer it light enough to flick in and out of gears.

Mark, I actually just ordered new bushings for my factory shifter this morning and I think I'm going to go back to that route. Anyone want a Roush Shifter?

Honestly I'm not sure, I would say it's a straightline piece because it's so short, It takes quite a bit of force but that's not a big deal when you're focusing on the straight line. I was so amazed at how short the throw was I went underneath my car to doublecheck the linkages and be sure it was fully engaging (and yes, it does).

For Roadcourse/Autocross I prefer light shifters for easy, but definite quick up and downshifts, hence why I'm going back to the factory shifter.

I have an mgw that's currently out of my car. It's adjustable in both height and throw. I'm planning on reinstalling it, but if you'd like to try it out, you're more than welcome.

It really is the nicest Shifter out there. I've never met someone who had one and didn't like it.

I'll echo the sentiments on the MGW. Build quality is amazing, and it's completely adjustable. You can take it from 15% shorter than stock to like 60% shorter than stock, depending on where you set the adjustment block. Also, the handle is adjustable up/down and right/left, so you can really tune it. I'd give one of those a try before going back to stock. The stock shifter is crap!
